Actually, Amazingly, AWESOME

I was looking at pictures of my Grand-daughter, the other day. She’s been here almost 10 months now! I’m so Amazed at the way she’s changed since the day we met. I’m AMAZED by the things she knows.

This Little Girl, who has stolen my heart, who entered this world looking both cute and strange. She entered this world w tiny limbs and armed with nothing but pure instinct. Now, she has suddenly turned into a big, bright eyed, personality. She’s one who can make you smile at will, she’s found her hands and uses them to grab, drop, or throw things, did I mention she attempting to talk a bit? And… SHE CAN STAND ON HER OWN TWO FEET!!!

I’m AMAZED that she Recognizes me, That I am important in HER WORLD! That, when It’s time for her to come over, she merges into a duplicate of my shadow, remains underfoot, she and will cry and crawl just to keep up with me.

I’m Also AMAZED at how she LOVES MY MOTHER! There are quite a few Decades between them. (as you might see, right now, we’re 4 Generations Strong!) It’s fascinating watching how love develops. You don’t see it. It just appears! And, its so apparent with these two, in the way this sweet baby girl of mine leans back on my Mama, as she drinks her bottle, and my Mom, her coffee. It’s there when my Mom has makes up songs about the baby’s name, and how the baby recognizes her songs & will laugh, Dance and Sway. (Its also right there, on full display, when my Mom talks on the phone to her Friends and has whole conversations about the babies newest antics).

She Loves her Uncle & in just 10 months she’s learned to crawl after him. If she pulls up on him by the pant leg, he’s good for a Hug and some rounds of Airplane, and maybe even some food. EVERYBODY will let her taste a little food. She’s learned that if she gives a little fuss and makes this “mmmmm” sound, then its likely she’ll get a taste of whatever is being eaten.

It was as I was looking at these pictures of my Grand-daughter and having these thoughts, another Fantastic thought came to me. Her growth is mimicking the Exact movement of GOD.

He’s working in, what we sometimes would think of, as the Background. God is working so fast that we can’t see. God’s making connections, providing direction, giving strength & power, to the point of demarcation. Then, one day, just moments later, you look up and see, things have come together MARVELOUSLY.

I’m AMAZED at the Fact, that there are so many things, that make Me GRATEFUL that I AM STILL HERE! I’m THANKFUL for all of my experiences. I APPRECIATE the lessons that being Diagnosed/Having EPILEPSY bought to my Life.

I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL, CHARISMATIC , GRANDDAUGHTER, She is not yet even 1 year old. My Mother is STILL ALIVE! For this, I am Beyond Blessed. I Know! My DAUGHTER actually, sometimes, asks me for “Parenting Advice” & I can see that she Really, ‘sometimes, listens.

A few years ago, you couldn’t have told me that this would be my life. I’m AMAZED that God inspired people to make advances in Science, that enabled the Medical Community to perform a 2 different types of Neurosurgery on me, that would set my life’s trajectory upright. Before that, there was pain, medication, confusion, denial, anger, forgetfulness, depression and heartbreak. Today, only a few of those issues still exist.

This, to me, is further evidence of GOD WORKING EVERYTHING OUT! My Granddaughter is not even a full year old and I’m in my 40’s!!! I’m AMAZED at how just looking at 10 months of pics & videos, showed a Mega-Plethora of Change and Growth. It made me HAPPY to Realize that w this Child, I’m also LEARNING/KNOWING MY GOD.

I’m AMAZED at how he loves Me so (and I’m only one Tiny piece of a whole) God’s HERE for ME. GOD’s THERE for YOU, working in tandem, getting each one of us through. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.” I’m so Amazed… GOD’s Progression and LOVE, is Actually, Amazingly, AWESOME!
